Yayasan Inisiasi Alam Rehabilitasi Indonesia (Yayasan IAR Indonesia/YIARI) adalah organisasi nirlaba yang bergerak dibidang penyelamatan, rehabilitasi dan konservasi satwa liar, termasuk satwa liar dilindungi Indonesia.  Yayasan IAR Indonesia memfokuskan kegiatannya pada satwa primata, khususnya: kukang, monyet ekor panjang dan beruk di Pusat Rehabilitasi Satwa IAR Ciapus, Bogor, Jawa Barat; dan orangutan di Pusat Penyelamatan dan Konservasi Orangutan YIARI, Ketapang, Kalimantan Barat.  Yayasan IAR Indonesia juga terlibat dalam program pendidikan dan penyadartahuan yang menyampaikan pesan kepada masyarakat untuk memperlakukan semua hewan dengan kasih dan kepedulian.
Yayasan IAR Indonesia membuka lowongan untuk posisi Supervisor Edukasi dan Penyadartahuan Publik yang akan ditempatkan di Pusat Penyelamatan dan Konservasi Orangutan YIARI Ketapang, Kalimantan Barat.

Kualifikasi:
  • Pria/Wanita
  • Berkewarganegaraan Indonesia
  • Memiliki gelar sarjana (min.) di bidang konservasi alam, kehutanan, biologi, ilmu sosial atau mempunyai pengalaman kerja minimum 1 tahun di bidang media atau edukasi.
  • Memiliki kemampuan berkomunikasi dan melakukan konsultasi publik dengan baik, terutama untuk membantu mensosialisasikan upaya konservasi.
  • Memiliki pengalaman dalam melakukan penelitian, wawancara, pengumpulan data, dan menulis laporan
  • Memiliki keterampilan dan pemikiran kritis.
  • Mampu berkomunikasi dalam Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris aktif (lisan dan tertulis).
  • Mampu mengoperasikan komputer, dan familiar dengan sosial media seperti facebook, twitter, dan blog.
  • Memiliki motivasi, jujur, bertanggung jawab, disiplin dan berdedikasi tinggi.
  • Mampu bekerja mandiri dan bekerja sama dalam tim.
  • Mampu bekerja dalam tekanan tinggi dan menyelesaikan tugas tepat waktu.

Tanggung jawab:
  • Membantu Advisor for Orangutan Conservation Project/Manajer Program dan Koordinator Penangan Konflik Manusia-Orangutan
  • Membantu dan bekerja sama dengan Koordinator HOC dan Edukasi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang HOC, konservasi orangutan dan kesejahteraan hewan terkait; dan,
  • Membantu dan menulis laporan kegiatan program
  • Membantu mengembangkan dan melaksanakan kegiatan penyadartahuan publik dan edukasi.
  • Membantu mendisain dan mengembangkan materi publikasi/promosi.
  • Membantuan melakukan penelitian dan mengembangkan program pendidikan dan sumber daya untuk sekolah, kelompok masyarakat dan khalayak sasaran yang bersangkutan;
  • Bekerja sama dengan mitra pemerintah (khususnya lembaga pendidikan nasional / guru), kelompok masyarakat dan sektor swasta pada desain dan pengiriman program pendidikan dan kesadaran
  • Mempersiapkan dan memberikan presentasi / berbicara di sekolah, kelompok masyarakat dan acara terkait konservasi orangutan di Kalimantan Barat
  • Membantu mengatur acara dan kegiatan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran tentang konservasi orangutan dan kesejahteraan hewan terkait;
  • Membantu menyusun dan membuat kuesinoner dan melakukan wawancara semi-struktural, termasuk untuk koleksi dan analisa data kualitatif.
  • Bekerjasama dan memberikan masukkan maupun saran yang diperlukan kepada Koordinator program mitigasi konflik manusia-satwa.
  • Membantu dan menulis laporan kegiatan program.

Job Vacancy - Funding and Liaison Officer

FOR IMMEDIATE HIRE 

Yayasan Inisiasi Alam Rehabilitasi Indonesia (Yayasan IAR Indonesia/YIARI) is a non-profit organization with a focus on the rescue, rehabilitation and conservation of wildlife. Yayasan IAR Indonesia rescues and rehabilitates orangutans, macaques and slow lorises with the aim to prepare these animals for release back into their natural habitat. Yayasan IAR Indonesia also engages in education and awareness programmes that convey messages to the public to treat all animals with compassion and care.

Yayasan IAR Indonesia is urgently looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and qualified individual to fill a vacant position as Funding and Liaison Officer. The selected candidate will be based at our office in Bogor, West Java and Ketapang, West Kalimantan.

Recruitment specifications:
  • Good written knowledge of English.
  • Experience in proposal writing and communications and liaison with donors
  • Some experience or background studies in biology, primatology or animal studies
  • Good skills in time management and planning
  • Good communication skills
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising and reporting:
  • Proposal development for both existing and new projects
  • Assist in identifying possible funding sources
  • Assist the Program Managers and Director in the process of raising funds through applications to international funding agencies and other sources
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to funders, including; project updates and graphic materials
  • Adhere to reporting requirements from funding partners
  • Ensure project implementation in accordance with the approved project description
External Liaison:
  • Help in the selection process of volunteers and researchers (write advertisements/project descpritions, help with selecetion based on CV and interviews)
  • Arrange all communications and planning for foreign volunteers and researchers prior to arrival and while at IAR facilities
  • Arrange and help with necessary permits and paperwork for volunteer and researchers in coordination with the Secretary of the Yayasan and with the administration staff
  • Assist the Program Director in communicating with donors and other external partners of YIARI under the direction of the Program Director or any of the YIARI Board members
  • Assist in communicating and other arrangements for visitors including; film crews, photographers and journalists from abroad
Other Activities:
  • Provide regular news updates and graphic materials to IAR UK about the activities and progress at both centres
  • Assist in report writing and translation of documents like annual reports, press releases
  • Support Programme Director and Programme Managers with administrative support such as; GFAS application, developing/improving SOPs.

  • Fluent in English and Indonesian.
  • Knowledge and experience in orangutan conservation.
  • Minimum a Diploma degree. A Masters or PhD in related disciplines will be considered
  • Flexible time availability

Requirements Education, Experience and Technical Skills:
  • At least a Bachelor degree (S1) in a relevant discipline (GIS, Geography, Remote Sensing, Forestry) with at least three years’ experience in GIS and data management.
  • Advanced knowledge in ArcGIS, Spatial Analysis and Image Processing software (e.g. Erdas Imagine, Envi, Definiens) as well as data management.
  • Basic knowledge on nature conservation.
  • Fluency in English will be an advantage.
  • Strong computer skills in information technology and programming will be an advantage.
